James Watral | It's about Today

An exhibition honoring the work of the late James Watral will open at Eastfield College’s Gallery 219 on January 23, 2015 with a reception from 5 – 8 pm.

The exhibition will feature many of Watral’s signature ceramic pieces spanning two decades of his career as an artist including the famed napkins that preserve his ideas and drawings. Watral was influenced by garden design, architecture, dance, theater, literature, current events and science. He had a specific interest in Egyptian, Etruscan, and Greek art which is evident in the surface treatment and form of his ceramic works as well as his drawings.
